Shelley Stuart Gibbons

Michigan artist and photographer, Shelley Stuart Gibbons, delights in celebrating the beauty of life surrounding her. Fiery sunsets, her lush perennial garden, picturesque lake views, and the faces of grandchildren inspire her to capture these moments with vibrant oils, watercolors, and photography. Shelley’s studies with artists Catherine Carey and Dreama Tolle Perry influence her color saturated works of art. A retired award winning educator, Shelley sought to develop a love of the natural world through the use of watercolor science journals, with her many students. She feels beauty is meant to be shared, and continues that pursuit with her two grandchildren and some very artsy friends. Shelley enjoys a close knit family life with her college sweetheart husband, Tom, their two daughters, and extended family.
