Mariam Sandhu

Mariam Sandhu was born in Pakistan but grew up in the US, currently residing in the suburbs of Chicago. From an early age, she showed an innate artistic talent that continued to guide her life. She pursued a Bachelors in Art History at the same time honing various painting techniques and mediums. She currently works in oil, watercolor, and colored pencil. No matter the medium, Mariam displays a realistic dynamism in her varied subject matters. Using the Flemish Technique of old masters, her early works in oils underscore a luminescent quality; expanding to Alla Prima, has allowed her to create vibrant color and dynamic brushwork in her pieces. Spanning two cultures, she is able to connect with the viewer through motion, color, and bold brushstrokes. Her art has been selected for various exhibitions in her local community and showcased in an art publication. Her latest collection focuses on “Woman In Dance”.
