Kathy Johanson

Katya has always been a lover of art, especially Impressionism. She was a member of the Dayton Society of Painters and Sculpture, where she won many awards for Pastel and Oil.  Katya has been fortunate to study with Master Artist, William Shultz. Bill was one of the founders of the Pastel Society of America and The American Impressionist Society. Katya and a friend sponsored many workshops with Bill in years past.
After being a caregiver for 10 years, she has been able to resume her painting. She loves to paint animals, portraits, flowers, and nature. She loves to study the effects of light and color on an object. Her motto from William Shultz is, less is more and trust your little sensations.
Kathy lives in Dayton, Ohio with her husband, David Johanson.
